• Introduction to Recording course presents students with an overview of the audio recording process. Students will learn fundamental acoustic principles and how sound is generated, transmitted, recorded and reproduced. Introduction to Recording includes:
  • Digital video Post Production is designed to provide a comprehensive education for editing digital video. This program covers every aspect of editing with Final Cut; working in the timeline and viewer, making and adjusting edits, adding audio, creating transitions, and more. Students will produce a final, 60 second video portfolio featuring a display of their skills and abilities.
  • The Recording Technology course allows students to experience the recording process in a studio environment. Students will learn to plan, record, produce and master audio tracks suitable for video and animated media. Students will produce voice over recordings as well as audio soundtracks using Garage band. Students will also be introduced to professional multitrack audio software such as Pro Tools to add audio to video and animated media.
  • In Introduction to Animation students will learn the key skills needed to undertake and understand the fundamental principles of animation. Students will be introduced to basic drawing skills, character development, character motion, timing and technical aspects of the craft.
  • Introduction to Video introduces the student to studio and location video production, examining the production process from conceptualization through production to the final presentation. Students learn about the tools, equipment and technology used in modern video production.
